XIARHOS ENDORSED BY BARNSTABLE COUNTY REGISTER OF PROBATE ANASTASIA WELSH PERRINO

October 8, 2020

WEST BARNSTABLE — Steve Xiarhos, Republican Candidate for State Representative in the 5th Barnstable District, announced today that his campaign has been officially endorsed by Barnstable County Register of Probate Anastasia Welsh Perrino.

“We need people in the Legislature who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get the job done, and that’s exactly the type of person Steve Xiarhos is,” said Perrino. “Over a forty-year career for the Yarmouth Police Department, Steve worked his way up the ranks from Summer Reserve Patrol Officer to Deputy Chief of Police. He has also dedicated himself to tirelessly helping others through charity, in memory of his fallen son, Nicholas. I know Steve will have the best interests of families and businesses in the 5th Barnstable District in mind every single day he serves as their State Representative on Beacon Hill, and I know he will make smart decisions to make their lives better. Knowing Steve, I am also certain that he will make constituent service a priority, and that he will be accessible and accountable to the people he serves. I am proud to endorse Steve Xiarhos for State Representative.”

“I appreciate the support of Register Perrino,” said Xiarhos. “During her time as Register of Probate, Anastasia Welsh Perrino has shown tremendous leadership and taken bold steps to modernize and professionalize operations of the Registry. She started by moving operations online soon after she took office, and she has continued those efforts since then. As a result, citizens can appreciate improved customer service and accessibility whenever they are in need of Registry services. I appreciate her work and I look forward to working with her on regional issues of importance as a member of the Legislature.”
