Polls show most residents want to keep our state flag as it is — and I strongly agree!

I was born and raised in Massachusetts and have lived here my whole life. I am proud that our Commonwealth is the birthplace of the American Revolution and honors our Native American heritage. As a Gold Star father who lost my son Nicholas in Afghanistan, I understand the weight of our state symbols. The flag and seal are not just designs—they represent our history, our values, and the sacrifices of generations who came before us.

Any decision to change them must reflect the voice of the people—not just government officials. Let’s make sure the people of Massachusetts have a say in the symbols that represent all of us.
