STATEMENT BY STEVEN XIARHOS CONDEMNING RECENT ACTS OF PROPERTY DESTRUCTION IN PLYMOUTH

February 24, 2020

Steven Xiarhos issued the following statement today condemning recent acts of property destruction in Plymouth:-

“I strongly condemn the recent spate of vandalism occurring in Plymouth. First it was Plymouth Rock, and now the 9-11 Memorial in that community. This is completely unacceptable. As a former police officer for 40 years, I know the toll property destruction can take on its victims, whether it’s financial, emotional, or otherwise. These acts are crimes, and not only must they come to an immediate end, but also those responsible for them need to be brought to justice. Given my professional experience, I know these crimes rarely occur in complete secrecy. I would encourage anyone with information about these acts to contact local authorities to stop these criminals in their tracks. It is important for all of us to come together and put an end to these hurtful and destructive actions, and to send a message that we will not condone this sort of behavior in America’s Hometown or anywhere else.”
